Custom Order Policy

Every My Mirroring piece is custom-made for each client from the photos, measurements and details provided with the order. This policy explains what happens before production, after CAD approval, and if there's ever an issue with your piece.

What is a CAD?

A CAD is a digital 3D rendering of your design. It lets you review the structure, proportions and key details of your ring before anything is made.

CAD approval

Before production begins, you receive a CAD rendering of your design. Revisions are unlimited: we keep refining the design with you until you approve that it matches your ring, and production never starts without your approval.

Once you approve your CAD, your order is final. After approval, the order can't be canceled or refunded, and production begins based on the approved design.

Cancellations

  • Before your CAD has started: full refund.
  • While your CAD is in progress: contact us and we'll review your request with you.
  • After CAD approval: the order is final and can't be canceled or refunded.

Timeline

You'll receive your first CAD within 3 business days of sending your photos and details. Production typically takes 2–4 weeks from CAD approval, followed by shipping. Each piece is handcrafted and individually made, and timelines may vary with design complexity, response times and materials.

Priority production (+$99) moves your order to the front of the line. It speeds things up but doesn't guarantee a delivery date. If you have a trip coming up, tell us your date and we'll let you know if we can make it in time.

About your Mirroring

A Mirroring is a custom-made, travel-safe recreation designed to look as close as possible to your original ring, based on the photos, measurements and details you provide.

Every Mirroring is made in 925 sterling silver with your choice of finish: silver, white, yellow or rose gold plating (a 3-micron protective layer over the silver), or two-tone.

What "simulated stone" means. We choose the simulated stone that best matches your ring: moissanite or cubic zirconia, depending on its shape, size and setting. For side stones and colored stones we may use laboratory-grown stones. Simulated stones are diamond simulants, not diamonds. Laboratory-grown diamonds are used only when you request them and they're quoted and agreed before your order.

Depending on the options you choose, your piece may also include:

  • simulated colored stones (sapphire, emerald, ruby, morganite and other colors)
  • personal engraving, included at no extra cost
  • the Mirror Mark (+$10): a small simulated stone set into the underside of the band, only when selected
  • a matching wedding band
  • laboratory-grown diamonds, solid gold or platinum, when quoted and agreed separately

Because these materials differ from solid gold or natural diamonds, the weight, feel, durability and sparkle may vary from your original. Our goal is to recreate the look of your piece as accurately as possible from the information you send.

Accuracy and the information you send

Because we work from your photos, measurements and stone details, an exact 1:1 duplicate isn't always possible. The more complete your information, the closer your Mirroring will be. For the best result, send:

  • clear photos from the front, bottom and both sides
  • your ring size
  • center stone dimensions, if known
  • side stone details, if known
  • certificates or specifications, if available
  • any important design notes

If exact measurements aren't available, we'll estimate proportions from your photos. Those estimates are shown in your CAD for you to review before anything is made.

Ring size

You're responsible for submitting the correct ring size. Not sure of your size? Choose the free ring sizer when you order and we'll mail it to you. If your ring needs resizing because the wrong size was submitted, resizing is available for a small fee, depending on the design. Some complex designs can't be resized after production.

If something is wrong

Every piece goes through a quality inspection before it ships, and we stand behind what we make. If your piece arrives damaged or there's an issue with it, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos or video of the piece (and the packaging, if it was damaged in transit).

Depending on what we find, we'll repair, adjust or remake your piece.

This doesn't cover:

  • differences caused by the size or details submitted with the order
  • expected material differences
  • design expectations not supported by the reference information submitted
  • normal variation in handmade, custom pieces
  • normal wear of gold plating over time

Re-plating is available for a small fee whenever your Mirroring needs a refresh.

Branded designs

My Mirroring doesn't replicate branded, trademarked or counterfeit designs. We may decline any order that involves protected brand design elements.
